Lexington Wedding Photography – Claire & Zach’s Wedding
Claire & Zach’s wedding might be one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever personally witnessed. And I’ve witnessed several. There were many beautiful things about this day, so I’ll start from the beginning. Both the wedding and reception were at the Saxony Farm Polo Barn . This was our first time photographing this incredible wedding venue and it quickly became one of our top 5! We arrived that morning and found a happy Bride relaxing with her bridesmaids; chatting, laughing and soaking in the moment (and the mimosas)! Claire has got to be one of the most laid back, down to earth, caring, likable people I’ve ever met. Zach the same. We originally met Claire at a bridal show…a busy, busy bridal show. Like every bride, Claire approached our booth with tons of paperwork in her hands. We looked at each other and had this moment of mutual understanding – bridal shows are crazy overwhelming! I think our only words to each other were, “Let’s chat later?” So we did! We met Claire, Zach and their family at a coffee shop where we could get to know each other and hear about their wedding day plans. A much better scene. Claire’s family is the kind of family you want to have around for everything…they recognize what’s truly important, they’re FUN and great at celebrating, and they’re the most thankful people. The moment that stood out to me the most on the wedding day was Claire’s First Look with her dad. I’m a daddy’s girl, so these moments always get me. Her dad had been involved in the dress shopping process and helped Claire pick out her dream dress at Cincinnati Bridal and Formal. When he finally saw his little girl on her wedding day, he just melted. One of the sweetest moments I’ve ever witnessed and will never forget! A daddy’s love is something special. 🙂 No matter how laid back the Bride is, at some point she just needs to see her Groom! This was Claire. The couple chose to do a First Look which was the perfect choice for them. The First Look is amazing for several reasons, but we specifically love it for the peace it brings the couple to see each other and start their day together. Claire & Zach’s First Look was so sweet and very “them”. We found a private spot alongside the barn away from the wedding day action. I loved watching Claire walk up to her Groom with that gorgeous long veil! Claire & Zach are naturals when it comes to photos, as you can tell. 🙂 Together, we all created a wedding day schedule with lots of time and buffer, so we were able to get some great photos while taking the day at a leisurely pace. The bridal party was so much fun too! Just a great crowd. Their ceremony was one to remember… Claire’s choice of wedding colors was absolutely perfect, especially for the flowers. Petals lined the aisle and covered the alter. The sunlight on the flowers made the whole scene glow and it felt sort of mystical. Probably my favorite decor for an outdoor wedding by far! Of course, there were some sweet moments of Claire and her Dad walking down the aisle. I loved watching the exchange between Claire’s Dad and Zach! Claire & Zach shared some sweet, heartfelt vows…anyone can tell these two are really good friends and so in love. Not long after, the party started! I watched some of the most precious first dances between the couple, Father/Daughter and Mother/Son. Like I said, this family is one you want to be around! Claire & Zach had a blast dancing the night away with friends and family, thanks to their amazing band Superfecta ! Here’s to a lifetime of friendship, love, and adventure for our friends Claire & Zach!
