Lexington Wedding Photography – Ann & David’s Elegant Outdoor Wedding
Sweet Ann Marie & David are married!! What an honor it was to be part of such a beautiful day in the life of this family. We first met Ann over coffee and loved hearing a bit about her and David’s story. We knew from the beginning these two would be a super special couple to us. We left this consult raving over how kind Ann was – she has the sweetest spirit! We knew David would be just as wonderful. Though we love our craft and love working together, the best thing about our job is being a part of the lives of such incredible people. We know it’s true – our images shine love because our clients do! This couldn’t be more true of Ann & David. They adore each other, respect each other, and it’s obvious they have so much fun together. 🙂 We had been counting down the days leading up to their wedding and when it finally came, it was just as beautiful as we imagined it! We knew this classy couple would host an elegant gathering and this scene was oh-so lovely. We love Griffin Gate Marriott for it’s phenomenal staff, welcoming stay, and the multiple gorgeous scenes throughout the property. We made good use of these scenes for Ann & David’s photos, starting with their First Look on the golf course – a scenic private spot for a quiet moment together. So sweet! Next, we spent some time in and around The Mansion capturing some classy, cuddly, twirly shots. We had such a blast with these two all day! It’s an extra special thing when the bride and groom’s family can watch the whole day unfold… Olivia & Charlie (kids of the bride & groom) got a ‘front row seat’ to this wedding day as a bridesmaid and groomsman. We’ll never forget those sweet getting ready moments between mother and daughter and father and son. This family was so joyful and shared lots of laughter all throughout the day. Ann & David couldn’t have chosen a more perfect scene for an intimate wedding, the Bluegrass Pavilion Patio (ceremony) and Pavilion (reception). There are always moments we hold onto from every wedding. For Ann & David’s wedding, we’ll never forget…a groom walking his bride down the aisle, their kids giving readings and toasts, a mother’s prayer of blessing over the marriage, bottles of wine (the couple shared together over the years) used for table centerpieces, fun matching socks for father and son, prayer stones for the ceremony, sweet Olivia catching the bouquet… Mostly, we’ll never forget how Ann & David looked at each other that day and the love they showed to those around them.
