Sweet Alissa & Ken are married!! What can we say about such precious people? We have known Alissa and her family for years and they hold such a special place in our hearts. This family loves well and has impacted the lives of so many. It was an honor to be a part of this day! We love the story of how Alissa & Ken met because it’s so “them”… I’ll never forget the day Alissa told us she was dating a guy she met online, who lives in Canada. Now and then, you hear stories that prove how small the world is – this is definitely one of those stories! 🙂 Alissa & Ken fell in love long-distance and spent their entire dating relationship miles apart. Long-distance relationships, although challenging, are such a gift! Communication is everything in a marriage and these two learned how to do this well, early on. This kind of foundation is such a blessing and often takes years to build. To have experienced that and get to THIS day, was such a celebration for this couple and their family! Everyone was beaming with joy all day long. These lovebirds chose to do a simple garden party house wedding, just their style. The wedding was hosted at Alissa’s parents home. We love small, intimate weddings! They always feel more like a family reunion than an event. 🙂 We loved meeting Ken’s family who seemed right at home at this Kentucky wedding. Alissa & Ken chose to have their bridal party photos captured at the Capitol. We couldn’t have asked for a more breathtaking scene! Their bridal party was an absolute blast to hang out with. I’ll remember their ceremony for years to come…I’ve never seen a more giddy bride say her vows to her man! So precious to watch. Their outdoor dinner party reception was just perfect – so fun and laid back. At Alissa’s request, her dad made a special beer to share with friends and family for the occasion. The stunning cake you see was made by the bride! This day was beautiful in every way and we couldn’t be happier for the bride and groom.
