Lauren and Tim are MARRIED! We cannot say enough about this precious couple. A little back story…

We first met Lauren and her mom at another wedding and fell in love with this mother-daughter duo. We meet many incredible people through our job but, now and then, we meet exceptional people…people who capture our hearts instantly. Lauren and her mama were so sweet, genuine, and fun. They had a deep gratefulness and joy about them. We left that wedding hoping and praying we would get to be a part of this family’s life some day, in some capacity. A year goes by and one day we get an email from Lauren saying, “I’m not sure if you remember me but I’m engaged…”. Let me just say, the excitement we responded with should have scared Lauren off, ha! Thankfully it didn’t. After a few emails and a breakfast date, Lauren and Tim became fast friends to us. A question we always ask our couples is, “What are you most excited about for your wedding day?”. When the response is, “Celebrating with all the people we love!” we know we’ve found GEMS. In our opinion, weddings are about the people, not the event. Lauren and Tim understood this and expressed so much excitement to celebrate with their community. Finally, we met Lauren and Tim’s family on the wedding day and we fell in love, again.

There has never been so much gift-giving on a wedding day! Matt and I couldn’t believe the emotion and joy we experienced that day… Lauren and Tim were super thoughtful and intentional about honoring and celebrating those who raised and guided them. Lauren and Tim are some of the best people on the planet and it’s obvious why! All thanks to their family and a faithful God. There were so many moments of this day we’ll never forget…the gift the bride gave to her mom and sister made from family jewelry, the special beer the groom shared with the important men in his life, the custom handkerchiefs given to the entire family, the honor of best man given to the Grandpa, the bride and mom locking arms to walk down the aisle, the words shared between the brother and bride, “You look beautiful, like Bell from Beauty and the Beast”, the groom blown away at the site of his bride, the couple serving communion to their loved ones, the surprise mother-daughter dance, the crowd surrounding the couple as they danced their last song…I could go on and on. There is so much beauty on a wedding day.

Let’s take a moment to chat about the wedding details! Lauren’s stunning wedding dress was a Heidi Elnora Atelier dress that she customized adding lace and a ball gown look. We’ve never seen anything like it! It was very “Lauren”; elegant and playful. We can’t say enough about Lauren’s bouquet, it’s unmatched! Lauren took our suggestion, did her homework and found a gorgeous old house to get ready in. We can all agree — her photos are better for it! Lastly, what a fun and romantic reception! We loved the white draping, chandelier and the word “love” in the background of every moment and photo. We couldn’t have had a better wedding to kick off 2017! What a beautiful couple, family and wedding day.
