Lexington KY Wedding Photography – David & Cheri
Finally, David & Cheri’s wedding day was here!! Our sweet friends had the most beautiful and intimate wedding with their closest family and friends. We love small family weddings for several reasons… The couple is surrounded by those who know them and love them the most; who will commit to provide them with the support and encouragement they need for the long haul. With a smaller crowd, those attending feel their presence plays an important role and the wedding takes on the feel of a “family event”. The couple seems to have a greater awareness of sharing their day with others as they’re able to interact with everyone there. All around, we are BIG fans of small weddings! For David & Cheri’s wedding, we couldn’t have asked for sweeter families to share this day with. As long-time friends of David’s family, we fell in love with Cheri’s family just as easily! This day was beautiful in so many ways. When we arrived to the salon, we found our bride peaceful, joyful and SO excited to start the day. 🙂 Cheri’s hair and makeup was done by Dry Art Blow Dry Studio. What a stunning job they did! Just gorgeous. Next, I have to talk about Cheri’s dress. Cheri found her dream dress at Rebecca’s Wedding Boutique. Cheri was the first of our brides to have a dress like this, so we couldn’t wait to photograph it! David & Cheri clean up pretty well, so we were beyond thrilled with the shots we were getting. 🙂 I love these getting ready shots of Cheri with her mom and sisters. So much fun and laughter. Let’s talk about this house…a HUGE thanks to my friend Beth for blessing my friends with this gorgeous home on their big day! In one day, Beth’s home and property became one of our favorite places to shoot. We’ll definitely be back! The ceremony site was breathtaking. The decor was just enough to create a perfectly beautiful, intimate setting for the paddock. The couple really wanted their ceremony “scene” to be simple, elegant and cheerful, with the focus being on their covenant more than the presentation of it all. 🙂 I love that David & Cheri had their First Look on the front porch. As family and friends ran around the house getting things done, David & Cheri had a sweet, private moment together on the porch. These two were just as precious and giddy as we thought they’d be! I can’t believe we get to witness moments like this… They laughed together, prayed together, talked about their day – so sweet. Their ceremony was just as sweet. Matt & I have heard many messages from officiants over the years, but our friend Michael’s was exceptional. His message was so encouraging, true, hope-filled and everyone present felt uplifted by it. David & Cheri shared some heartfelt, honest vows. I remember when David’s best man patted him on the shoulder during an emotional moment in the vows (that’s some brotherly love!). This whole crew was so loving and supportive of this couple. Before we knew it, David & Cheri were pronounced husband and wife!! Exiting the ceremony is always a fun shot, but I love theirs. So joyful and thankful to be married. 🙂 The reception location was a dream. Palmers is the perfect location for a small, intimate, sit-down dinner wedding reception. David & Cheri wanted an elegant atmosphere where they could easily mingle with family and friends. They got it! Palmers is gorgeous by itself (no decor needed) and the food was excellent. A perfect place to celebrate such an incredible day. We could not be happier for our dear friends, David & Cheri. We LOVE you guys and are praying for every blessing on your new life together. Congrats!!
Thanks to all the amazing vendors who made David & Cheri’s wedding day beautiful…
