Lexington – Wedding Photographers – April & Shaun’s Wedding

What a beautiful couple and wedding day! I don’t know that I’ve ever met a couple more in love or more thankful to have found each other… April & Shaun’s love is pure and captivating. 🙂 We became instant friends with this couple from the moment we met them and fell in love with their story. When their wedding day came we knew it would be an experience to remember! We were surrounded by beauty and love all day… April started off her wedding day at The Strand at Chevy Chase Salon with Shaun’s daughter Alexandria. These lovely ladies had a such great time laughing, chatting and getting ready together. Alexandria helped April with her wedding dress…sweet, sweet moments. I was so spoiled to be around this precious relationship all day! I will never forget the moment April & Shaun had with Alexandria…that sweet triple heart necklace! She’s a lucky girl. 🙂 I was super impressed with April’s bouquet – so epic and stunning. We could not wait to witness April & Shaun’s First Look! We knew this moment would be incredible for them and it was…I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. Matt and I have only been married for eight years and each year seems to have a “theme”; something we’ve learned about marriage, each other and life in general. This year, our biggest learning was about friendship in a marriage. Friendship is everything! We fell in love with April & Shaun’s story because their friendship stands out over everything else. 🙂 Sure, they’re crazy about each other (as they should be!) but they are good friends too. We’ve learned that cultivating a real, authentic and fun friendship in a marriage creates a solid foundation for the ups and downs experienced in married life. Matt and I always encourage married couples to “keep dating” (we have a weekly date night to invest in our friendship and marriage. Worth it!) All of that to say, we LOVED capturing and celebrating April & Shaun’s love and friendship that day. The ceremony of course was beautiful. April & Shaun shared some sweet vows with each other and with their Alexandria (it’s so special when children are involved in a ceremony!). The reception was so joyful and fun. The crowd just felt like one a big family and everyone had a blast! Here’s to a lifetime of love, adventure and friendship for this unbelievable couple, April & Shaun. We love you guys!
