Wedding Photographers, Lexington KY, The Renauds – Kelsey & Eli’s Wedding
Kelsey & Eli are married!! We cannot say enough about these beautiful people and wedding day. This was our first Apiary wedding so as you can imagine, we were counting down the days! There couldn’t have been a more perfect venue for this sweet couple. Before I dive into the details of their gorgeous wedding, I’d like to take a moment to brag on the couple… From day one, we knew we would love Kelsey & Eli. We met these two at their consult over a year ago and hit it off right away! Even then, we could tell they were caring and passionate people, hard workers, deeply in love, and highly value people. This became more apparent as the months passed and especially so on their wedding day. Matt & I say it all the time and always will – we are so blessed to have a life filled with such wonderful people. 🙂 How is THIS our job?! Anyway, back to the newlyweds… We knew Kelsey & Eli had great taste and style, so we couldn’t wait to see this paired with the breathtaking scene of The Apiary. Of course, with LexEffect running the show we knew Kelsey & Eli’s vision would be brought to life seamlessly! Not long before the wedding day, The Apiary added a tent to their venue – the most unbelievable tent you’ve ever seen. So fun to photograph! It was a lifesaver on the wedding day. With rain in the forecast, we were prepared with “plan b” options for photos throughout the day. The rain came, poured, and left, only during the ceremony! This tent allowed for a beautiful outdoor scene and dry happy guests. We always encourage our couples to have a rain plan – “hoping it doesn’t rain” works only sometimes (wink-wink). There is a lot to love about The Apiary but this tent definitely tops it off! In my opinion, rain is romantic anyway and only added the intimacy of the scene. 🙂 There were so many moments that stood out to us that day… Kelsey had two First Looks – one with her dad, one with Eli. Both so very sweet. Lots of tears, laughter and sweet words shared on this wedding day. Kelsey & Eli enjoyed a relaxed day with their family and bridal party. It’s always such a GIFT to the couple and their family when they can rest and “take in” the moments of their big day. I have to give a shout out to The Apiary staff – this group was so attentive, professional, upbeat and eager to serve. The hard work and team effort of The Apiary and LexEffect allowed for the whole day to be a celebration, as it should be! We can’t say enough about the reception… “Oh it’s just so great you’re married!” sung to a familiar tune, was by far one of the best toasts we’ve experienced yet! Well, the best man toast was pretty great and heartfelt too. And…so was the toast given by Kelsey’s dad. So precious. I guess I can’t pick a favorite! So much joy, play and love a part of this day.
