Lexington Downtown Wedding – Mary & Tim’s Wedding
Matt and I left our consult with Mary & Tim saying “We love them! They HAVE to book us! Maybe they’ll be our friends?!” and talked about it the whole way home. Sometimes, there are couples we meet and we ask ourselves, “Should we pay them to shoot their wedding?!” because we like them SO much. (Don’t get excited people, we can’t actually pay you ha!) This was Mary & Tim. 🙂 Their fun-loving, caring personalities are rare and contagious. It quickly made sense to us why they had so many friends…and invited them all to their wedding! Mary & Tim’s wedding day couldn’t have gone more smoothly and beautifully. Their ceremony was at St. Paul Catholic Church and their reception was at the Lexington Center. The day started early with a straight razor shave for the Groom and his guys that morning. We arrived to the hotel soon after and found our giddy Bride! I absolutely loved Mary’s classic up-do which went perfectly with her vintage dress…her mom’s wedding gown redone! We had been waiting for one of our brides to do this some day and Mary was our first! We were absolutely blown away by it. It was so unique, classic, intricate, fit her like a glove, and you could tell it meant so much to Mary and her mom for this to be “the dream dress”. Just incredible! Mary & Tim’s First Look was the sweetest. Tim could not wait to see Mary… Usually, the bride expresses her excitement/anticipation for this moment more than the groom, but not Tim! It’s like he “floated-walked” to their First Look spot to wait for Mary. They had such a precious moment together and were so giddy! They shared some sweet words and continued praising each other throughout the day. 🙂 I can’t say it enough, I love my job!!
Something we noticed early on with Mary & Tim was how hospitable and considerate they were. They must have asked us twenty times how we were doing, if we needed water or food…just the most thoughtful people. Mary kept expressing how her “wedding day wish” was for her family and friends to have a great time. That they did! The time came for the ceremony and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The priest had the best sense of humor, which Mary & Tim enjoyed. The couple was so sweet in their vows…it was a beautiful and joyful service to witness.
This reception, let me tell you, was just a BIG party! It felt like Mary & Tim had invited the whole city of Lexington ha! I haven’t seen a crowd have more fun at a wedding in a long time. The Bride’s wish came true. Mary & Tim’s first dance was so precious and “them”. The night was full of celebration and no one wanted to leave! The time finally came to say goodbye and the couple rode away in a horse drawn carriage – the perfect way to end the perfect day. Here’s to a lifetime of love, fun, friendship, influence, and laughter for our sweet friends Mary & Tim!
